Katie's voice
Katie lived from 17th August 1982 to 2nd August 1991. Her life was heinously taken by her father who was only present and contributing to her life until she was 1 year of age.
At the committal of her father and the trial, no door was open to her life or voice and the terror she was in for 3 weeks prior to her murder.
After decades I am home. As her single mother this is Katie’s voice. She was a gifted girl who wanted to be a vet. Her care of her friends in class saw her swap her easy part in a play with a boy who was struggling with his. She cared deeply
This is a tribute to her and the gentle people especially female children and females who through no fault of their own are killed or as secondary victims are manipulated into the corruptions and coercions of the world of men.
In 2024 and 2025 I am indebted to the people who have enabled the beginning of fair play and acknowledgement of heterosexual females within the Victorian legal system, medicine and politics. Until last year every other gender except heterosexual females had the right to an acknowledged voice
After 3000 years of standing for our rights it is long overdue to have our own law, governed by females for females
