Katie was fun, creative, wise, agile and intelligent. At the trial of her murderer in October 1992 Katie had no voice nor was her life and attributes acknowledged in any public discourse.
Katie wanted to be a vet. She participated in gifted children’s programs and always helped her friends and classmates. eg With a school play she was given an easy part to remember. She swapped it with a boy who struggled to remember his part in the play
Katie’s Law is written to grant her voice the beautiful difference she would have contributed to Australia and other countries
